Pepsico, the Ministry of Social Solidarity,
and RiseUp have joined forces to organize the Egypt 2030 Hackathon.
Participating teams will be developing digital solutions such as
Apps that tackle two of Egypt's most challenging issues in line
with Egypt’s 2030 Vision.
The two hackathon topics are Gender Equality and Zero Hunger, which are two of the Sustainable Development Goals outlined by the United Nations.
WHAT is a hackathon
A Hackathon is a competition that involves creative problem solving addressing a specific topic, issue or problem by developing a digital solution that tackles that problem.
The Hackathon is held on a number of consecutive days between 2-5, holding different teams from 3-7 participants. It usually involves experts, students, and professionals from specific fields related to the topic in question, either as participants
or mentors that help guide participants.

Must be above 18 years
at the time of registration.
Selected participants must be present from the 18th to the 20th of April.
Selected participants must be present during the Info session held from 3-7 days before the hackathon start date (the 18th).
Participants do not need to
have an already set team.
Employees from any of the participating entities (RiseUp, PepsiCo, MOSS, UN) are not eligible to participate.
Already set teams must include a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 members.
If you are applying as a team,
the team must include one team member with a tech background.
